Job Description / Role / Responsibilities :
The Chief of Staff (COS) position provides high-level support and execution to the Group Executive, Commercial Bank on day-to-day administrative and operational functions, to effectively grow the business and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. To ensure seamless strategy formulation and execution. Also ensuring that risks are mitigated, and that compliance and internal control are not compromised for business growth and revenue.
The position involves engaging with the Group Commercial Banking and CMB Heads across the Institute network. A key feature of the role is the relationship with, and support
provided to, the Commercial bank Business Heads, and Senior Management.
Business and financial performance
Client - Centricity
o Drive customer service excellence initiatives within the Commercial Bank organisation
o Working with all stakeholders in CMB/bank, oversee and manage highly prioritized projects
o Ensure high customer satisfaction as measured and monitored through Customer feedback surveys.
o Working with HR & Academy, ensure right staffing, competencies and people development programs are implemented
o Drive the performance management process and reviews of business, ensure consistency and quality of the KPIs
o Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development
o Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Process, control and operational performance
o Periodic review of business strategic and financial performance. This review should be conducted quarterly/monthly with appropriate identification of variation from set goals and articulation of remediation strategies.
o Producing management performance reports on monthly basis to GE
o Writing of reports, speeches and presentations.
o Able to represent the Group Executive, CMB in selected meetings
o Drive effective implementation and monitoring of audit - On Time Remediation (OTR) / Re-open Rate (ROR).
o Support the GE in strategic thought and initiatives for growth
o Coordinate the management, execution and implementation of CMB strategy and ensure delivery of strategic initiatives
o Communicate and work closely with the CMB heads, all units, affiliate Commercial Heads and Group heads to achieve the overall objectives of the business unit
o Work/influence people at all levels.
