Management Traineeship (Europe and Afrex Markets)

Are you recently graduated and looking for an international opportunity to join one of the biggest global soft drinks company with iconic and nationwide loved brands like Schweppes, Lucozade or Orangina? During the traineeship, you will work & live in 4 different countries, covering different business areas to eventually become a Commercial Talent in the Afrex business. After the two-year program, you'll be based in an African country. Are you ready to join this challenge?

The purpose of the 2 years Management Traineeship Program is to develop the skills & knowledge in different areas in the business, in an international environment which enables the candidate to grow into a future Commercial position in the Afrex business. As Management Trainee you will work with both international and national clients and develop depth and breadth across Sales, Finance, and Marketing core areas.

Field Immersion :

Fulfil the sales representative role. The accountabilities could cover but are not restricted to:

  • Visit all the designated clients, implement the in call mission as well as the promotions on air.
  • Builds good relationships with clients despite the short assignment period.
  • Blends in the local team, learns and shares experience.
  • Expected learning: In Call Mission, Negotiating with a retailer, Managing his objectives, Product knowledge (basics)

  • Marketing Immersion :

    The accountabilities could cover but are not restricted to:

  • Work in collaboration with local marketing team (Morocco) in order to reach department specific targets.
  • Lead projects and produces OTIF the required deliverables.
  • Blend in the local team, learns shares experience.
  • Expected learning : Product knowledge (+), laws of growth, portfolio management basics, In market communication

    Finance Immersion :

    Learns the key building blocks of the financial year. Understands the value chain and its use in a partner negotiation. Provides support to the relevant department, produces required reports with 100% accuracy. The accountabilities could cover but are not restricted to:

  • Prepare Forecasts templates and data for annual budget & forecast, rolling forecast, strategic plan.
  • Manage pricing process for all markets.
  • Request price adjustments and royalty expense/income invoices.
  • Analyze actual P&L by market/customer/brand/product.
  • Prepare monthly deck presentations of results, track variances to prior year and budget, track and consolidate business KPIs.
  • Expected learning : Value Chain analysis (different setups), Budget cycle understanding, P&L / KPI understanding

    RTM/RGM Immersion :

    Learns the key principles of RGM & RTM. Focuses on a project for emerging market. Works with & understands the RGM/RTM reporting. Learns & is exposed to various tools provided and helps there deployment. Delivers OTIF any specific project or supports a team member to deliver needed project. The accountabilities could cover but are not restricted to:

  • Lead the analytics of our long term Revenue Growth strategy across the five pillars of Price, Promotion, Trade Investment, Pack Price Architecture, and Mix Management to ensure consistent year-on-year revenue accretion and to drive sustainable profitable growth.
  • Own existing tools within RGM and develop new cross country tool solutions aligned to our RGM playbook list of key analytics and beyond.
  • Expected learning : Negotiating / implementing an annual plan, Setting objectives in line with the annual plan, Performance management follow up, RTM/RGM

    Qualifications & Requirements :

  • 0 to 3 years of work experience (preferably in FMCG industry) with a BS or MS degree in Econolics, Finance, Sales & Marketing.
  • Eligible for employment in the EU.
  • Willing to live & work in different countries - Adaptable to new environments. Eventually willing to work & live in an African country.
  • Past internship within an FMCG is a strong asset.
  • Fluent in French & English in verbal and in writing is key.
  • Strong Commercial skills & business acumen.
  • Strong communication & problem-solving skills.
